Everyone was super friendly and invited us to join the carol singing and quiz on arrival. Our king studio was clean, cozy, and well-equipped for self-catering. The views of the church opposite were fine too!

I enjoyed the place, everything was lovely. They offered me milk, butter and jam in the morning. The location was historic for an elaborate community-wide event. It was enjoyable stay, I did not want to leave and would stay here again.

We had a cute double room with a lovely view. The community vibe is sweet as, but the room needed a better clean and it was cold at night.

dog-friendly atmosphere, community-run pub, spacious kitchenette
The lack of kitchen service was frustrating!!! It would have been helpful to be informed ahead of time!!! The room felt a bit chilly at night, and I had to rely on a portable heater!!!

Consider bringing snacks or meals, as options in the village are limited and the pub may not serve food nightly.

We enjoyed hiking along Offa's Dyke Path and visiting the fantastic fishing lakes of Llyn Gweryd. The rooms werenice and neat, and the kitchenette was handy for making snacks. The community vibe was great, and the quiz night was a fun surprise.
While the pub had excellent home-cooked food, there was a bit of a wait during busy times. Make sure to plan accordingly, especially if you're really hungry after a long day of hiking.

comfortable stay with room for improvement
The atmosphere was inviting, giving a true sense of community. The king studio was spacious and well-equipped, particularly the kitchenette which allowed for versatile meal prep. Staff were genuinely friendly . I, too, noticed that the community vibe was sweet, but I felt the overall cleanliness could be improved in certain areas.

The Double Studio had a surprisingly well-stocked kitchenette. The comfortable bed was a welcome relief after long walks, and the village shop nearby was a great resource for supplies.
The beds were too soft for my liking. An upgrade is definitely due. A 5 PM check-in felt a bit late, and the lack of food availability outside specific nights was inconvenient. You'll need to either plan around this or arrange for delivery since cooking options are limited to what's in the kitchenette.
